General Description:
The Production Manager is responsible for managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and utilize the company’s productive capacity as well as managing inventory levels.
Reports To: Chief Operations Officer

- Ability to read blueprints and focus on process steps.
- Interpret customer purchase orders and process specifications.
- Understand the plating, grind, and HVOF processes in order to schedule across work centers.
- Communicate NCR’s with Quality, Production, and Engineering Departments to ensure accuracy of processing.
- Must learn the Quality system to be able to participate in customer quality audits/sales visits.
- Interface with Customer Service to work jobs in order of urgency as determined by customer service and schedule.
- Establish and maintain the production schedule.
- Maintain and improve training program and development of employees.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages all employees of the shop and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within all departments.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and production floor. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines..

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Weekends hours may be necessary to meet production needs.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in each phase of production operation, including managing employees, process implementation, purchasing and prepress
- 5-10 years of production and process improvement experience
- Printing: Extensive knowledge of card production or related processes
